Marriage, Key Life Cancer

Marriage can increase the chances of survival of cancer patients. Do not believe? A study at the University of Maryland explains, half of advanced cancer patients have a great chance of survival than patients lembih single.

Launch the Toronto Sun, the researchers found 33 percent of patients who have had three years of age married longer, compared with 10 percent of patients were single. The effect was stronger in female patients. Married women have a level of three years longer life expectancy than men.

"Marital status appears to be an important independent indicator of survival in patients in the advanced stage," said Dr. Elizabeth Nicholas.

A study in Norway which was released last year also stated, single men with cancer more likely to die sooner than married men.

The support offered by the couple to be the key factor in the survival of cancer patients. Nicholas also said, support a mechanism for survival of patients on new cancer therapies continue to innovate.
