Drinking Coffee Morning Make Strong Sitting All Day

A cup of coffee in the morning not only repel drowsiness, but also provide pain relief effect. For those who have to sit at a computer all day, drinks can relieve stiffness around the neck and shoulders.

Scientists from the University of Oslo proves it after observing 48 office workers who daily have to sit for long in front of computers. The workers were told that at breakfast should not drink coffee, but limited to only one cup only.

The results showed that 40 percent of employees have a cup of coffee as a complementary breakfast menu. The rest do not drink coffee for various reasons, either because they do not like or feel there is a problem with the stomach and do not want to take the risk.

After breakfast, the workers directly conditioned to work with a very high level of activity in front of the computer. Her work include correcting a typo and was given a target to be completed within a period of 90 minutes or 1.5 hours.

The stress level is so high, plus sitting in such a long time finally make the employees feel sore, especially in the neck, shoulders and arms. But those who did not drink coffee, drink a cup of coffee employees feel less sore.

"These results reveal an increase in lower pain on employees who drank about 1.5 hours before work," wrote the researchers in the scientific report in BMC Research Notes jrunal, as quoted from Dailymail, Thursday (09/06/2012 ).

The effect of caffeine as a pain reliever is already known and is often used as a mixture to amplify the effects of analgesics such as paracetamol and aspirin. However, its effect on muscle activity was minimal as working at a computer, only this time studied.
